Blog 7: The Allegory of The Cave through History
Plato uses the allegory of the cave to discuss the situations in life where people live in an illusion or refuse to accept the truth. Discuss such a situation from human history and explain what the illusion was; you can do some research on the internet to get an idea, but you cannot simply paste internet information to your post. If you use a small quote (no more than a couple of lines), put it in quotation marks. If you refer to information you found but put it in your own words (ie paraphrase it) again include full information about the source. Please avoid the obvious examples we used in class (slavery, the holocaust, Galileo and the shape of the earth).
